even-t will supports the CalDAV protocol used by Apple's iCal Server coming with Leopard in a future version of even-t.

Built on open standard protocols, iCal Server is the first calendar server for Mac OS X Server. Now it’s easy to share calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate events within a workgroup, a small business, or a large corporation.

CalDAV is a calendaring protocol used by leading calendaring programs including iCal 3 in Leopard, Mozilla’s Sunbird, OSAF’s Chandler and Microsoft Outlook. These open standard protocols include CalDAV — a set of extensions to WebDAV, which even-t already uses for collaboration — and interchange formats such as iCalendar, iMIP, and iTIP.

Will even-t supports The Missing Sync™?

Yes. The beta version of even-t doesn't support synchronization via iSync or on a .Mac account yet.

But when even-t goes final, it will fully supports Apple's Sync Services architecture to ensures the two-way synchronization of your data with mobile devices like Apple's upcoming iPhone™ or your .Mac account and all devices that can be synced via iSync.

The Missing Sync from mark/space fully supports Apple's Sync Services architecture so will even-t when is goes final. Supporting this you can synchronize your calendars with a wide varity of Palm OS devices including Palm/palmOne, Sony, Garmin, Samsung, Tapwave and Fossil and Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone devices including HP, Dell, i-mate, Motorola, O2, Palm and XDA and the Sony Playstation Portable.

The registration for webcal URLs crashed even-t during start up on Mac OS 10.3.9. This is fixed with the current beta 3.

I'm in the process to release Public Beta 2 soon. This upcoming release is mainly a bug fix release, but will have the following enhancements:

New Features:

Italian localization added. Many thanks to Daniele Gorgni for his great work on this.
Completed or canceled events will be displayed using the StrikeThrough attribute for the summary text to make clear, that these events are completed/canceled.
Locked events will be displayed with a "Lock" icon.

Bug Fixes:

After start-up, even-t will register itself properly to handle webcal URLs.
Opening webcal URLs having special characters/spaces in the URL will be loaded and displayed properly now.
Some fixes in calculating and displaying recurring events.
Prevent modification on locked events through various menu actions.
even-t crashed under special conditions after changing the layout.

even-t 2 Public Beta 1 released

After working hard on the new version of even-t 2 and more than 31 internal beta versions, today I'm happy to announce the release of the first Public Beta 1 of even-t 2 on my new web site www.even-t.com. This beta is fully functional except the synchronization via iSync™.

even-t 2.0 coming soon

I've made a lot of progress in finishing even-t 2.0. The last feature I'm working on is the synchronizing using Mac OS X 10.4 build-in capabilities.

even-t 2.0 will be shipped as an Universal Binary, which means, it runs on Intel-Macs at native (lightning) speed. even-t 2.0 will be available as a Standard- and Professional-Edition.
The Professional-Edition has some more special features like:

you can change the layout for the day and week view (to see two, three or more weeks at a time)
set a PDF document as templates for your print outs
create customizable static HTML web pages
use shared editing on .Mac and WebDAV servers

Today Google announced the Google Calendar. Nice to see this. At 5:00 pm even-t had a feature called "Send to Google...". Now you can add events from even-t to your Google Calendar. Just with a click.

Yes, I'm still working on the next version of even-t 2.0. This version will be big step ahead, but the beast eats my time.

New Features:

Organize your coloured calendars in groups and display them in one or in multiple windows.
Customize your day or week view layout with multiple rows and columns - if you need to see more than just one week or day.
Subscribe calendars from the Internet and publish to WebDAV servers or to your .Mac account. (Yes, simultaneously)
Integrated with Apple's Address Book application.
Convert Events to ToDo's or Notes or move them to different calendars with just one click.
With the new print dialog you can create great looking printouts. Switch between Day, Week, Month, Year and List View.
Smooth animation in week view or customized day view while switching from day to day. All animations can be turned off :-). BTW: if you don't like the Metalic window style, just use the standard interface.
